The first Swave platform cohort takes it first steps in La Défense

#Incubation #Startup

After a call for candidates that attracted several dozen applicants on a variety of themes, the first 23 startups selected to join the Swave fintech platform moved into their offices at La Défense on Monday, 29 January.

In 2017, Paris&Co developed a new platform dedicated to fintech, to leverage innovation for the profound mutation of the bank and insurance industry and seize new opportunities. On 29 January 2018, the 23 startups selected amongst 78 applicants moved into Swave’s 2,500m² of brand new office space (divided into coworking areas, private offices, event venues & common areas), in the Grande Arche at La Défense.

Their mission is to instill the concepts of sustainability and responsible investment in traditional finance. For one year (twice renewable), Swave teams will accompany and mentor theses startups to help boost business development.

The primary target of the program is to foster the experimentation of new products and services, and to accelerate the growth of young companies seeking new service models for the financial sector and its end users (B2B and B2C).

The platform launch was the perfect opportunity to federate key players of the finance value chain around one major project. From marketplace organizations (Paris Europlace, Finance for Tomorrow, Pôle finance innovation) to corporates to research institutes (Institut Louis Bachelier) and fintech representative associations (France Fintech), the partners of Swave are focused on one common goal: to promote the excellence of this industry and its ongoing vitality.

Swave partners: Société Générale, NewAlpha Asset Management, Crédit Municipal de Paris, Exton Consulting, Mastercard.
